Liverpool is reportedly in contact with Real Madrid to ask Rodrigo about his transfer status.
The Reds have shown great ambitions in the transfer market this summer and may not be over.
The main story at the moment is that Liverpool pursued Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac, according to BBC Sports and others, but Rodrigo appears to be on the agenda.
As Spanish journalist Shiro Lopez spoke about the situation with Rodrigo, referring to the following, he named Liverpool the suitor of Brazil International.
“The information I received on Sunday was talking to Madrid about how much Liverpool can at least move Rodrigo’s deal,” he said.
He added: “His situation at Real Madrid is uncomfortable. Then they have an obligation to talk to Liverpool and to talk to the person who calls them.”
Liverpool’s extraordinary attack revamp
Liverpool has already signed Florian Wiltz and Hugo Ekitique to enhance their attacking options, and it appears that Isaac and Rodrigo can still continue.
Even if Rodrigo was not always a regular starter in his time at the Bernabeu, he has a good reputation after often contributing to his recent success.
The 24-year-old finished with a total of 16 goals and eight assists last season.
With Louis Diaz recently leaving Anfield to join Bayern Munich, Rodrigo could make sense as an ideal alternative.
However, Ekitike can also play there, and will do so once ISAK comes in as Arne Slot’s main centre forward.
Wirtz probably could also be filled out on the left, but appears to be more suitable for the central role, while Cody Gakpo is another player capable of filling in the various positions of the front 3.
