Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim revealed in an interview that he will introduce new rules to players, particularly during training sessions for upcoming campaigns.

Manchester United managers believe players need to run more responsibly, and they believe they need to own their mistakes. He added that instead of treating players with sensitivity, he is not embarrassed to treat them as men and point out mistakes in training in front of everyone.

“The rules aren’t about treating players as babies, they have a son,” Amorim explained in the New York Times. “I treat them as guys, but now there are rules. It can change the way you train. If you don’t train the right way, I have footage to show you.

While this approach can certainly build transparency behind the scenes of the club, players can also be left blushing if training expectations are not met.

It will be interesting to see how players respond to new rules being introduced.

It is clear that Amorim is trying to build a strong culture at the club. Manchester United finished near the relegation zone last season and because of their height club, it simply isn’t acceptable. There is no doubt that the team will need some rigorous treatment so that they can return and relax in strong ways.

Manchester United clearly performs poorly and they have a reasonable good team at their disposal. It will be interesting to see if Amorim can make the most of his players in upcoming campaigns and help him return to Europe next season.

Manchester United missed out on European qualifications for their upcoming campaign, but that is simply unacceptable.
