Kyle Ride Promises an All-Out Effort as Glenn Irwin Enters the OMG Race

Glenn Irwin is set to make his first appearance for OMG Racing, joining his teammates in the pursuit of victory and the championship title. Currently, Kyle Ryde holds second place in the British Superbike Championship, just behind Brad Ray from raceway Yamaha. The intense competition between these two Yamaha riders has been a highlight of the 2025 BSB season, but the recent addition of Irwin to OMG Racing adds a new dynamic to the championship.

Irwin returned to the circuit this week after a serious crash at Snetterton and a recovery period post-surgery, switching from PBM Ducati to OMG Racing. While his teammates are excelling, Irwin is quickly regaining his speed with his new bike. Ryde shared his thoughts, saying, “I shifted gears a bit earlier at the right moment compared to last year. I’m proud of myself for persevering, and it paid off by winning the final race.”

He continued, “Throughout the weekend, I felt I had a chance to win, even though I wasn’t at my best on Friday and Saturday, I stayed confident for Sunday. The sprint race was unexpected, but I pushed hard in Race 3, making it one of my best victories so far. I hadn’t won any race this year until then, so I was very happy with the weekend, especially knowing I could win.”

Ryde also mentioned, “Brad didn’t finish one of the races, so we gained some points, but I’m happy to take a step back and show that we’re resilient and ready to fight when needed.” Looking ahead to Thruxton, he said, “Last year was a great weekend for us with a race win. We’ll keep pushing for as many points as possible, and if there’s a chance to win on the last lap, we’ll go all out just like we did last October. I’m excited and confident, and the team is happy too.”
