There’s a tremendous bid to sign Liverpool’s Alexander Isaac Rumbles, but sports director Richard Hughes has cut a lot of work as he chases multiple deals before the summer transfer market closes.

The Newcastle United star striker is already the focus of a rejected bid, adding up a total of £110 million, with the Reds expected to return.

However, Liverpool will also need to sign half the centre in the coming weeks, with Virgil van Dik and Ibrahima Conate missing cover in the rear.

Liverpool focused on signing the defender

Following the palace victory at Wembley, their chairman, Steve Parish, has admitted that they may have to cash in on Mark Guech this summer.

However, Liverpool is also tracking 18-year-old Palma defender Giovan Nileoni, with deals being made to both defenders’ cards.

At this fledgling stage of his career, it will be difficult to separate Leoni from his Italian homeland. That’s why sports director Richard Hughes has identified alternative options to enhance the backline.

According to Transfer Insider Graham Bailey, Liverpool is comparable to Club Bruges’ Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Aston Villa, and is in regular contact with intermediaries.

Marseille is also in the mix and hopes to close this month, so Liverpool will need to close the transaction quickly.

What Joel Ordnes brings to Liverpool

The 21-year-old Ordnez may be in the early stages of his career, but he has already made 84 appearances on the Belgian side after making his first leap from his Ecuadorian homeland.

Liverpool is ready for a big move into the top five leagues, intrigued by a blend of aggression and aggressive passing, and was able to hit gold by taking over him.

Looking at the way Ordonez and Leoni are ranked statistically over the past year, there is a case where Club Brugeman is a great player at this point.

Leoni is a talented young player, but it is rare to suggest that by Scout Jace Krig he actually has what he needs to be free and smooth passerby beyond Ordonez’s ability, which is described as “an impressive, full profile for the central back of his age.”

The same applies to Leoni, of course, but Ordonez has far more experience behind diverging a considerable number of characters this summer, with more substance.

If Vandic or Conate gets injured this season, he will need to step up and, given that Ordonez is already fighting Aston Villa on two legs in the Champions League, he has the confidence and receipt to do that accurately.

Guehi will be Liverpool’s first choice pick this summer, but it’s not certain that Liverpool will convince the palace to reduce their demands and secure the signature of England International.
