Newcastle had a tough summer transfer window as Alexander Isaac Saga dominated the story surrounding the club. But in the end, he may not be the only important player to leave St. James Park before the deadline.
Tripia, who managed to leave Newcastle in January, faced Aston Villa in the Newcastle Premier League opening match on Saturday, but feels he will be dropped on the bench after Lewis Hall returns from a long-term injury in the coming weeks. And because of this he was able to consider leaving by the end of summer.
Kieran Trippier could be seduced to leave Newcastle
Nevertheless, according to a football insider, former football player Paul Robinson has revealed that Newcastle has no plans to sell Trippier, which has attracted interest from Monaco in recent weeks.
“My sources say they want to keep him. Monaco will be a bit of a head turner for him, but seeing what Newcastle has, they struggled to attract players.
“It has been extremely difficult for everyone to participate for Newcastle. Everyone is talking about Isaac and his future, but it’s important to keep players like Kieran Trippier until everyone knows what’s going on.
“Looking at the value they can get at his age, there’s very little value to sell him. The value he brings to the Champions League side in the dressing room has to pay more to replace players like Trippier.
Given how important Newcastle is in the dressing room, it makes a lot of sense for Newcastle to retain Trippier’s services. That’s especially necessary given the ongoing Isak Saga.
