When it rains, it pours out. That’s certainly the case with the Arsenal Football Club.
Fans were still agreeing to the news that the incredible Ebeki Eze was set to join Tottenham Hotspur when David Ornstein revealed that Kai Herberts suffered a knee injury and could have been out for months.
The news helps explain the recent improvements in Leandro Trossard’s contract, but Germany’s absence is a major blow, even if the Belgians are on better terms.
Luckily, the report has linked the club with an international game-changer that could be the perfect solution to Mikel Arteta’s latest headache.
Arsenal Target Perfect Herberts Exchange
This year was an interesting summer business for Arsenal.
The club certainly improved the bench and added some first teams with Viktor Gyoker and Martin Zubimendi, but there is a strong feeling among fans that the attacking area is still short.
This is only strengthened following news that Havertz could be out for quite some time.
But the good news is that the people of North London are now paying attention to the moves of people who can enter and cover internationally in Germany.
At least that’s according to a recent report by Graeme Bailey, who claims Arsenal is in the photographs of Ademalakeman.
In fact, Bailey revealed that Nigeria’s international camps are in talks with several teams, including gunners, after the move to Inter Milan collapsed.
Plus, the reported price is around £43 million, so it may not be too difficult to get past the line. Given his enormous visual ability, he would be the perfect solution to this captain’s problem.
Why Lookman is a great solution to Herberts’ injuries?
The first major positive to sign Lookman this summer is the fact that he can play anywhere, across the front line.
For example, he played for the top of the season or spent the second striker for the second season, but he played perfectly comfortable in both wings and spent some time attacking midfield before.
With this team, this is extremely important because it will top up the second fiddle, while also providing real competition with all the other attackers on the team, keeping them below certain standards and if so, you can trade them.
It brings us to the second reason that the former Everton Flop is an exceptional signature for the gunner: his output.
Since moving to the Serie A side in August 2022, the “world-class” attacker dubbed by BBC John Bennett has scored 52 great goals and provided 25 assists in 118 appearances totaling 7,538.

That is, Wandworth-born game-changers average goal involvement every 1.53 games or every 97.89 minutes on the continent. This is an incredible rate of return.
Plus, with Xabi Alonso’s hat-trick winning in the 2024 Europa League final against then-Bailer Leverkusen, you don’t have to worry about how he’ll get the fare in his biggest game or the biggest stage.
Ultimately, even without Havertz’s injury, Lookman will be an excellent signature for Arsenal, but in light of the German set-off, it feels like a need.
