Technical Update: 2025 Netherlands Grand Prix

As Formula 1 season resumed after summer vacation, three teams brought new parts to the Dutch Grand Prix.

In the 10 rounds of the current car era, development is still in place, and Red Bull is the only team that won the race that brings a single upgrade. The new front wing features longer cord front wing flaps, and the team says it will require Zandvoort that “the flap elements need to extend the cord to increase the available load at the angle.”

Elsewhere, there are also small updates introduced by Alpine. This update focuses on the rear corners before this weekend. The team describes the change as a “rear brake duct furniture update,” which includes a set of recycled wing plates designed to improve rear wheel wake management.

The Alpine is not the only team working on rear brake ducts. Sauber (Photo above)which has shown impressive development so far this season, with the design of the rear brake duct vane updated with six straight scoring finishes.

“Changes to the rear brake duct vanes will affect the flow field around the rear of the car, and will affect the local diffuser and rear wheels,” the team explained.

As many are fully focused on 2026 car development, other teams have not bought new parts from ZandVaurt, but many circuit-specific changes are expected at Monza’s low drug venue next weekend.
