  • Anthony Gordon and Sven Bottman’s message to Isaac
  • Alexander Isaac was an exception for Newcastle

Alexander Isaac has secured his British transfer record to Liverpool during the transfer period this summer.

The 25-year-old left Newcastle in intense circumstances, and he was heavily criticized for his unprofessional attitude. He decided to skip the preseason with Newcastle and refused to play for them again unless he authorized his departure to the Premier League champions.

Anthony Gordon and Sven Bottman’s message to Isaac

Naturally, Newcastle fans were furious with the players, but his teammates still seem to appreciate him. Anthony Gordon and Sven Botman shared the post on social media after players secured their move to Liverpool.

Both players hoped for Sweden’s international good fortune in the future and praised him for his contributions in Newcastle.

Gordon said: “It was a joy to play with you, regardless of the situation, what happened. It was one of the best chemistry I’ve had on the pitch, and more importantly, great people and teammates.

Botman added: “It started when my teammates grew into one of my rare and greatest friendships. No more words needed. The next chapter is the best.”

Alexander Isaac was an exception for Newcastle

There is no doubt that Isaac was Newcastle’s exceptional servant during his time at the club. He helped them secure Champions League qualification and was eagerly waiting for the trophy. He was one of the best players in the world during his stay in Newcastle.

I understand why Newcastle fans are furious at the way they forced the exit from the club, but he wanted to complete the moves of his dreams this summer. The player is at the peak of his career. This is the right time for him to move on and try new challenges. He will want to win a major trophy at this stage of his career, and Newcastle is unable to offer him the opportunity.

It would be interesting to see if Newcastle could survive after departure. They signed Nick Urtemaid and Joane Wissa. Both players did very well with their respective clubs last season, allowing them to easily fill in the gaps left by ISAK.

As for the striker, he aims to go to his new club and make an immediate impact.
