Video: Alejandro Garnacho blames Brentford Equalizer in Chelsea debut

Alejandro Garnacho lost a man in Brentford’s Equalizer (Sky Sports) against Chelsea

Chelsea rookie Alejandro Garnacho appears to have blamed the Brentford equalizer for a very late Saturday night.

Fabio Carvalho sneaks into the back post to make it 2-2 at the moment of the game’s death, and Garnacho loses the man about his sleep.

Argentina International recently joined from Manchester United’s Chelsea. It would probably be fair to say that there are some Blues fans who aren’t that sure about the deal.

Garnacho was not particularly consistent or worked well on Man UTD.

Even if Garnacho is not on the pitch that is primarily defensive, this moment in the second half of the game is when you want all players to turn 100% on.

Garnacho had work to do, but he wasn’t focused enough on the danger. That’s two points on the side of Enzo Maresca.

Sky Sports expert Jamie Rednap clearly felt that Garnacho should have done better here, so see below…

It’s still a very early age for Chelsea’s Garnacho, but it’s somewhat inexplicable that the West London giant made him one of his priorities this summer.

The 21-year-old didn’t do much to be impressed during his time at United.

In fact, even selling Noni Madueke to Arsenal early in the summer, leaving them with a gap filling them, with Garnacho taking part.

However, Maduke is now impressed with Arsenal and would have been a wider choice for the CFC than the unconvincing Garnacho.

It will be interesting to see if Maresca can make the most of his player and work out how he can turn his career around.
