Liverpool paid substantial fees to sign Florian Wiltz from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer transfer period, but German International has not yet taken the top form.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been criticised for his performance so far, with former Premier League footballer Jason Kandy slamming the Liverpool star for his mediocre performance. He has so far failed to register or support goals in the league.

Florian Wirtz was mediocre

Cundy revealed on Talksport that the German international went under the radar and escaped criticism despite his mediocre performance. He believes that if Liverpool drops points in the coming weeks, Wiltz could fire.

According to Cundy, the only reason he escaped the 22-year-old’s criticism is because Liverpool has won all of the Premier League matches so far.

He said: “Can we talk about Wirtz? He was under the radar. He doesn’t exist! ”

Wirtz is a world-class talent, and Liverpool paid him an absurd amount. They would have expected him to be running and establish himself as one of the best players at the club. So far, the midfielders have not been able to do that. Wirtz is still adapting to life in British football and is sure to develop into a key player for the club in the future.

Liverpool needs to be patient at the age of 22 and develop him at his own pace.

Wirtz was an exception at Bundesliga and helped Leverkusen win the league title. He is expected to lead Liverpool to the league title and the UEFA Champions League. He is now considered one of the best young players in football, and of course there are high expectations.

On top of that, Liverpool is under pressure to perform quickly as they pay players a fair amount.
