Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta appeared to be aiming to dig into Real Madrid as he discussed William Saliba’s future at Emirates Stadium.

It appears now that Saliba has agreed to a new Arsenal deal, but Arteta seemed very pleased with the situation at today’s press conference.

France International has been a world-class performer since invading the Gunners’ side in the 2022/23 season, and if Real Madrid made a serious effort to sign him, that would be totally understandable.

Still, when asked about the rumoured interest from Spain, Arteta revealed that he always assured Saliba that he wanted to stay with Arsenal.

See below as manager who commented that there are not many teams that the manager can drive Saliba out of Arsenal…

William Saliba’s deal is great news for Arsenal

It’s a big boost that Arsenal has also tied up Saliba after recent new deals with star names like Gabriel Magalges, Miles Lewis Skelly and Ethan Nuwaneri.

The 24-year-old looks like someone who can definitely start at basically any club in the world. He will be important to Arsenal for years to come.

Alongside Central Defense’s Gabriel, he is one of the team’s most instrumental members as he has become much more solid than he has been in years.

It wasn’t too long ago that the AFC was considered a slightly soft touch in the back, but now there aren’t many teams that can break them down. Much of this depends on Arteta’s coaching methods, but having the right players is also important.

Saliba is also young enough to continue to improve, so it’s no wonder Arteta is so happy with the news.
