  • Gary Neville praised Arsenal after Newcastle United won
  • Gunners feel they can go all season this season

Sky Sports expert Gary Neville praised Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal team after a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United.

Magpie took the lead at St James Park in a toughly contested match, but Gunner fought late in the match and threw everything in the game to score three points.

Alternate Mikel Merino began his gunner comeback with a fantastic header and centre-back Gabriel who scored in the 96th minute, the corner header, to win the North London Club match.

Neville was one of the experts who criticised Arteta in a team selection with Manchester City at Emirates Stadium last week.

Neville felt that Arteta’s team played against the city of Pep Guardiola in the handbrake. These comments came after Atteta benched Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Martinelli in a match against City.

However, Neville was impressed by Arteta’s team selection during his victory against Newcastle and the management in the game.

Speaking about the podcast at Sky Sports, Neville said:

“It felt big, and when you get the first goal, you can smell something.

“I had a big question last week for Arsenal. Naturally, he has changed today.

(Mikel Arteta Will) Play Down, he hears say they’re not doing anything different, but his team’s choices at the start of the game are more positive.

“His alternative was everything he might have thrown in the game. If you’re about to leave the football pitch, make sure you’re using all your weapons, make sure you’re using everything in your arsenal.

“The reason for getting a winner in the end is because of intention. If they think they can win the league, they believe they should win every match.

“Please tell us it to your alternative, tell us it to your team’s choice.

“I’m pretty animated here tonight, because a week ago I was animated as well. I felt like I was making the team shorter. I got points that even the dressing room players might have thought of.

“He has a great team. I think he has the best team in the league. He’s probably the best team in the league. Liverpool is also great so I’ll say it quietly.”

The players are confident, perform well, and their attitude shows their belief that they feel they can win the Premier League title this season.

It’s amazing how one outcome can change the mood around the club. Fans will wonder how they will buy tickets for the Arsenal vs. Olympia Cos Game, held at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

Following an impressive victory against the athletic club in their first Champions League match this season, the Gunners hope to continue their victory in the competition.
