  • Man United is considering options to replace Amorim
  • Oliver Glasner is a huge success

The volatile start of Manchester United’s season has rekindled stories of change in management, and one of the names that will rise more and more is Oliver Glasner.

Reuben Amorim remains in the hot seat, but insiders suggest that United hierarchies are quietly exploring alternatives.

It’s not surprising as the Red Devils are currently 14th in the Premier League and spent a lot of time signing new signings in the Carabao Cup after the summer transfer window.

Amorim was provided with the tools to run, but the Portuguese manager was unable to inspire his team.

Man United is considering options to replace Amorim

It has seen United Hierarchy consider its options in the market. They publicly support their managers, but if Amorim is allowed to leave the club, they work behind the scenes to make plans.

Despite reports that Glasner is about to leave the palace for a move to Old Trafford, the latest update suggests that the manager is accepting to stay at Selhurst Park.

Speaking about the Beyond The Back Four podcast, Graeme Bailey of TBR Football said:

“I think it’s very difficult for them. Oliver Glasner is said to be open to staying, but he wants the palace to suit his ambitions. Can they do that?

“I think it’s going to be very difficult. That’s really true. But they do an incredible job.”

Glasner has broad respect for his work at Crystal Palace. Under his leadership, the club claimed the glory of the FA Cup, added a community shield and pushed 18 unbeaten runs in all competitions.

Still, insiders warn that Glasner is warning of his openness to leaving hinges in a palace that fits his ambitions. He is reportedly willing to stay in southern London if appropriate backing is given.

While Glasner is a strong candidate, United must deal with many challenges. First, mid-season administrative transitions involve the risk of disruption. Secondly, to persuade Glasner to move, you need a compelling guarantee about forwarding support.
