Liverpool defender Ibrahima Conate has been linked to his move to Real Madrid for the past few weeks.
The 26-year-old is the final year of his contract and has yet to renew his contract with the Premier League champion. He can transfer the club for free at the end of the season. Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing Conate, and they want to secure his services on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, the defender is not at his best this season and has been criticised recently for his performance.
Duolingo shares a joke about Konate Ibrahima
After a disappointing performance with Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool fans have been posted on social media to urge people to check out his performance on Duolingo, an app that offers language courses.
The social media post probably suggested that he was focusing on learning Spanish for his Real Madrid moves, rather than focusing on his performance in Liverpool.
In reply, Edu-Tech Company shared a hilarious post claiming that Liverpool defenders are part of the Spanish Diamond League.
There were rumours that Liverpool could aim to tie him into a new deal. It remains to be seen whether the parties will be able to finalize the contract. Despite immersing himself in his form, the 26-year-old remains an important player at the club. He helped them win the league title last season and was outstanding in the Premier League champions.
Konate needs to bounce back
The defender realizes the fact that he was not at his best and aims to bounce back hard. He’s definitely a quality player. Liverpool will need him to step up and produce better performances.
Liverpool recently lost Trent Alexander Arnold to Real Madrid on a free transfer.
