Tottenham reportedly gave his first talk about signing a Real Madrid star who has been disenfranchised into living under Xabi Alonso, but in fact it is not Lodrygo or Arda Güler.
The Spurs were linked to Rodrigo’s surprising summer moves
Thomas Frank’s side ideally wanted to bring two new Starwingers over the summer.
Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Randal Kolo Muani have arrived at the N17, and all three can be played widely, but it was widely reported that Spurs are pursuing another advance towards the last day of the window.
Tottenham was denied two bids for Man City winger Savigno and could return to Brazilian in January (Dean Jones), and was thought to have recently decided to sign a new contract in the Eastlands.
The former Girona star was a personal transfer target for Frank’s top who, according to Fabrizio Romano, believed he could do “huge” for the Spurs, but any hope of signing Savigno in the near future was all repealed with agreeing to an extension until 2031.
With the city’s new stars off the table, it’s worth reconsidering Rodrigo’s potential bid.
Tottenham is also tied to a real advance move towards the end of August, with reports in Spain claiming that the Spurs approached Rodrigo in the pursuit of a world-class offensive player (Mundo Deportivo).

The 24-year-old started one La Liga Match with Xabi Alonso this season and was on the bench again as he won Kairat Almaty 5-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday.
With the 2026 World Cup approaching the location of Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazilian team, Rodrigo may not be satisfied with his Bitpart role for long.
There was a suggestion that in the summer, Rodrygo might be available for rent. Tottenham is heading to the ground as CEO Vinai Vinkatesham, technical director Johan Lange and New-look Lilywhites’ boardrooms maintain plans to sign another wide player in January.
Tottenham also reportedly targets Guler, but given the newly discovered excellence at the Bernabéu, the move for Turkish International could prove to be extremely difficult.
However, according to a new report, Guler and Rodrygo are not just real players on Tottenham’s radar.
Tottenham holds “preliminary consultation” over Federico Valverde’s signature
Reports from Spain show Federico Barverde, a weekly 280,000 pounds of red maturity fielder, is emerging as a joint “priority” target with Lange.
Unlike Rodrigo, their vice captains are regularly selected by Alonso, and Valverde already notched three assists from the middle, playing a major role at times.
That being said, sources in Spanish media report Valverde is slowly being left in the dark by a new manager in Real, who wants more trained midfielders to maintain control of the park.
Valverde struggled with a 5-2 derby defeat to Atletico Madrid last weekend, and the Uruguayans seem to have lost faith in the dressing room.
Lange could make the most of this, and the report argues that Tottenham is “leading the path to preliminary talks” for Valverde despite interest from other top Premier League aspects.
The Real’s board of directors is also divided into sales of Valverde. Some believe he can still play the role he plays under Alonso, while others think it’s the right time to sell in January and reinvest the funds in more team upgrades.
The 27-year-old, who boasts more than 70 caps for the Uruguay national team, has scored 32 goals and 34 assists from 331 appearances for the whites, and Ancelotti previously called Valverde the “most complete player” of world football.
“He doesn’t ask for anything,” Ancelotti said.
“That’s his strength, and that’s why I believe he’s definitely the most complete player in football. He even managed to play as a centre-back without any problems.”
