Liverpool are reportedly looking to go back to the drawing board with a move for Crystal Palace central defender Marc Guehi.

The Reds’ summer advantage no longer applies, with 10 other clubs also in the running for Guehi.

According to Graham Bailey, TBR footballrevealed that 10 other clubs could rival Liverpool in signing Gehi, whose contract with Palace is about to expire.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Inter Milan have been mentioned by Guehi as clubs that could compete with Liverpool.

Bayley stressed that Liverpool could still sign Guehi, but that no longer seems as clear-cut as it was in the summer.

“The contract with Guehi has been undone. This is a new transfer. Everything that was done, said and made a bid is now forgotten,” the journalist told TBR Football.

“That’s what I’ve been told. Every club that wants Guehi is starting from the same place. This probably shows that Liverpool don’t have as much of an advantage as some people believe, but again, that doesn’t mean he can’t get to Anfield.”

“Guehi has emerged as perhaps one of the most sought-after bossman free transfers in history, and there is no major European club who would not be keen on this.”

Where should Mark Gehi go next?

Guehi is clearly a top-class centre-back and if he leaves when his contract expires he will be drafted among Europe’s elite players.

But what would be the best course of action for him? With so many big names involved, it’s probably going to be a difficult decision.

Considering the balance between playing regularly and competing for the biggest trophies, LFC seems to tick all the boxes.

However, Guehi may want to move abroad and it would be difficult to say no to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
