‘Something is going on’ – Roy Keane makes worrying claims about Man United’s ‘culture’

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has suggested that something bad must be going on behind the scenes at Old Trafford at the moment.

The former Red Devils captain believes there must be a cultural problem within the club, given that they have struggled despite having so many top players and managers in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Speaking on Overlap, Keane and his fellow pundits spent a considerable amount of time discussing Man United’s dire situation since Ferguson’s retirement.

Fellow former United player Gary Neville suggested that the club’s exit was inevitable, citing Liverpool’s response to Arne Slott replacing Jurgen Klopp.

Keene then displayed insight while asking what sounded like a rhetorical question about issues related to the culture of the training ground.

“I definitely think there’s something going on at United in terms of the environment,” Keene said.

“Too many good managers and too many good players have come in over the last few years and that hasn’t happened.

“There must be something going on. Again, in my head I’m always thinking about what the training ground is like. What’s the culture like? Are they motivating each other? Are they training properly? Are they decent lads? Do they have enough quality to play for Man United? Are they brave enough to play at Old Trafford when things are against them?”

Many United fans will be asking similar questions. That’s because there are some players in the team who look like they have real mental issues and who aren’t up to par with past United legends.

Keane has been a great captain for MUFC, and even if his leadership style doesn’t work well in the present, some may wonder if they have strayed too far from the type of personality that has made them successful in the past.
