  • Milos Kerkes is confident ahead of Liverpool vs. Man United
  • Reds need a win to catch up with Arsenal

With Liverpool set to renew one of English football’s fiercest rivalries with Manchester United at Anfield, summer signing Milos Kerkes spoke confidently of the opportunity and the atmosphere awaiting the visitors.

The 21-year-old left-back, who joined from Bournemouth in 2025, said the team had returned from the international break “full of energy and focus” and believes Anfield support could be crucial for the champions as they look to reset after a tenacious run.

The Hungarian international identified United’s visit as exactly the stage for Liverpool to thrive, praising the “different” feeling of playing under home lights and underscoring the dressing room’s unity towards the task at hand.

Liverpool restarted the season after an October hiatus with three straight defeats, making the stakes even tougher against their old rivals.

“We’re getting ready. Everyone’s really bringing back a lot of positive energy.” The left-back told the Liverpool website.

“Many of the players performed well for the national team and got some good wins, so we’re really looking forward to it.

“Obviously, that (back-to-back losses) was tough. The international break came and as I said, I think (we) got some important wins and performed well.

“Everyone is fit, so we saw everyone come back with full energy and focus. We’re ready to turn things around.” Kerkes added.

“Everyone is back fit and it’s going to be really important. We’re going to need everyone, the fans, the players who are starting, the players who are not starting. We’re going to go for the three points.”

Kerkes quickly embraced this culture. He spoke of the “different” feeling at Anfield and the confidence it gives him.

If Kerkes’ words translate into the high-tempo, front-foot performances Liverpool expect from their own ground, then the atmosphere he praises could be what carries Liverpool in the decisive game against Man Utd.

Arne Slott and his team will face Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title.

After defeating Fulham on Saturday, the Gunners opened up a four-goal lead and now it was Liverpool’s time to fight back.
