  • Wolves are struggling this season
  • Vitor Pereira may be leaving soon

Pressure is mounting on Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira, with the latest reports suggesting his position may soon become untenable.

Pundits claim it is “inevitable” that Wolves make changes to the dugout if momentum does not change soon, following a string of tough results and growing concerns about performance.

The coming weeks could decide Pereira’s future and the direction of the season for a club whose survival and stability in the Premier League depend on it.

Wolves’ form has declined alarmingly, and the problem is as much about cohesion as it is about points.

Wolves are struggling this season

Alongside the struggles on the pitch, supporters’ dissatisfaction is also growing. Molineux remains a tough environment, with fans yearning for a clear identity and progress after several seasons in transition.

Wolves have not won in eight Premier League games this season and currently sit at the bottom of the league.

Mick Brown believes Pereira will be sacked by Wolves if they don’t win against Burnley and Fulham.

“The games against Burnley and Fulham are must-wins for Wolves.” he told Football Insider.

“The problem is that Fulham and Burnley will be thinking the same thing about playing Wolves, so it’s not going to be easy for them.

“Wolves have been really poor this season and most people are starting them as relegation candidates due to their inconsistency and instability.

“There will be questions about the manager because you can’t avoid pressure after going eight games without a win with any manager in the world.

“Of course the players should be criticized, but ultimately it’s the manager’s responsibility.

“So the next two games they have are going to be very important for their season.

“If they can win two games, they will close the gap with their rivals, but if they lose, all of a sudden there will be a huge gap between them.

“Often managers are sacked as a result of that, because something has to change. If we lose at home to Burnley, I think that is inevitable.”

If the underperformance continues, changes before the January deadline could allow the new manager to evaluate the team, influence recruitment and quickly implement plans.

Pereira’s future at Wolves has reached a crossroads. On the current trajectory, the pressure to act will only increase, especially if performance remains flat and points continue to slip away.

Club decision-makers will need to decide whether existing projects can be salvaged with tweaks, or whether a reset is needed to save the season.
