On the 20th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers chose Charis Lebert from Michigan. On draft night, the Pacers sent the lever to Brooklyn. There he spent the first five and a half years of his career. Levert’s 225 games on NET are the most of him of any team in the NBA. At the 2020-21 trade deadline, the net sent Levert to the Indiana Pacers. The team originally drafted him.

Levert played in 74 games for the Pacers before trading him again for the Cavaliers at the 2021-22 deadline. The 30-year-old spent four and a half seasons with Cleveland, playing in 199 games. However, Cavs wanted to upgrade their roster to the deadline, so they had to say goodbye to Levert. He was traded for the Hawks, where he played the final 26 games of the 2024-25 season.

Karis Lebert was a veteran from the Hawks’ bench. When Trae Young got off the court, he helped stabilize the crime. Levert is a versatile player at 6 feet 6 inches. He can play PG. SG or SF. According to NBA insider Lauren Williams, the Hawks have full bird rights on the Lever River. That is, they can re-sign him with what is considered fair value. From 2024-25, Levert played in a $16.6 million deal. The Hawks will prioritize re-signing Levert this offseason.
