  • What can Oihan Sunset bring to Manchester United?
  • Unite to sign with Ousmane Diomando

Manchester United have reportedly secured €120 million for the signings of the two players at the request of manager Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils have had a busy summer, bringing in Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Senne Lamence, but few would joke that that’s enough at Old Trafford.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are currently preparing to sign Oyhan Sunset and Ousmane Diomando in preparation for January.

According to reports, Amorim is keen to raid his former club Sporting Lisbon for Diomande, but the Ivory Coast defender is also said to be interested in signings from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Sunset is currently playing for Athletic Bilbao and is reportedly another important target for United.

Fichajes reports that Sanse is seen as a player who can bring more creativity and goals to United from midfield.

There is a lot of pressure on Bruno Fernandes for MUFC to do so at the moment, so it might make sense to bring in someone to take some of the load off the Portuguese international.

Diomande would also be an interesting signing, but it won’t be easy to beat Liverpool or Arsenal for his signature.

The link with Arsenal is certainly a little surprising considering the Gunners already have William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães and Cristian Mosquera as their main centre-backs. That means there isn’t much room for more competition.

The AFC no doubt have other priorities, as other versatile players like Riccardo Calafioli, Julian Timber, Ben White and Piero Hincapie can also play there.

However, Liverpool would no doubt benefit from strengthening at the back, with Ibrahima Konate nearing the end of his contract and Virgil van Dijk getting younger.

There is no doubt that LFC are more attractive than United now that they have enjoyed success under Arne Slott, who still appear to be a work in progress under Amorim.
