  • Thomas Frank praises ‘dangerous’ Grealish before game against Everton
  • Tottenham to keep an eye on Karl’s transfer

Thomas Frank and Tottenham Hotspur are now reportedly targeting the impressive Champions League star, who are already thinking about signings for 2026 after a shaky start in north London.

Thomas Frank praises ‘dangerous’ Grealish before game against Everton

Following defeat at Aston Villa and a disappointing draw at Monaco, Tottenham will be hoping to avoid ending a frustrating week in their toughest situation yet against Everton.

But in many ways, a win after a midweek draw and last weekend’s loss would sum up Frank’s start pretty well. There are plenty of signs that he’s the right guy for the job, but too many that suggest he has a long way to go. Before visiting the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time, the Dane praised Sunday’s opponents, especially Jack Grealish.

“First and foremost, I think Everton are a very competitive team with a lot of good players, not just Grealish. I think Beto was excellent up front and I think Ndiaye was very good as well. Dewsbury Hall, they’re managed by David Moyes, who’s a good colleague and friend, and his teams are always very competitive.”

“He’s a manager and someone I have a lot of respect for in the game, and of course Grealish, but it’s always been the players, of course, but I think part of the coaching staff, the manager and Moyes, that’s made Grealish thrive again.”

“He is the main creator of them, there is no doubt about that. Of course we have to be on guard because he is very dangerous and can create something out of nothing in any game.”

If results go well, the Lilywhites could move up to second place with three points, which will no doubt make quite a statement early in Frank’s tenure.

Securing Champions League football should be seen as the ultimate priority, especially if the north London outfit wants to attract Europe’s impressive stars.

Tottenham to keep an eye on Karl’s transfer

According to a report from Tutto Juve, Tottenham are currently looking to sign Pierre Carlles, who has played every game for Juventus so far this season.

The defender, who can play as both wing-back and centre-back, is not a player Juventus want to sell, but they may not have an option. Amid financial constraints, the Italian giants could offer the 25-year-old the door for just €30m (about £26m) in the January transfer window, allowing Spurs to pounce.

Called “phenomenal” by scout Jacek Kulig during his time at AC Milan, Kalulu, now at Juventus, impressed in midweek’s defeat to Real Madrid.

Juventus ultimately lost with a goal from Jude Bellingham, but the defender silenced Vinicius Junior that night. Facing one of the trickiest wingers in European football, he limited the Brazilian to zero shots on target, zero successful crosses and just one key pass.
