Levante star Carl Etta Ayon is currently playing for Chelsea and reportedly dreams of following in Didier Drogba’s footsteps and making Bruco big.
The Blues are slowly but surely improving in the Premier League under manager Enzo Maresca, bouncing back from a midweek draw with Qarabag to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Maro Gusto, Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto were enough for the west London side, extending their current unbeaten run to four games.
Maresca was delighted with his team’s easy victory and told reporters: “I’m happy with our performance. I was very worried before the game because it’s always a tricky game, but we created a lot of chances in the first half and second half and didn’t concede a goal.
“I was happy with our performance in the first half as well, but the difference between the first half and the second half is that in the second half we scored goals, but in the first half we missed a lot of chances.
“We have to be clinical, otherwise the game is always open and anything can happen. We scored three goals in the second half, but we could have scored more.”
As we enter the international break period, West Londoners will spend the next two weeks thinking about their potential January recruits. It’s a rare day that Bruko isn’t thinking about the transfer window, with potential targets already emerging for 2026.
Players such as Adam Wharton have been named last week, with reports claiming Chelsea are “actively in talks” to sign the Crystal Palace midfielder. If these reports are to be believed, the Blues are certainly on the right track. Wharton remains one of the most impressive young midfielders in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Etta Eyon has revealed his Chelsea ‘dream’ as a key boost for Bruco as he targets the Levante star.
Etta Eyon reveals Chelsea’s ‘dream’
Speaking to GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs, Etta Eyon said she dreams of playing for Chelsea, who are competing with the likes of Manchester United for a contract. The impressive forward has scored six goals in 12 games so far this season and will now hope to follow in the footsteps of Drogba and co. At Stamford Bridge.
“When I was a kid, Chelsea were the English team I watched the most because of Drogba. Eto’o was there that year too. Chelsea often sign great African players. There are a lot of big clubs in England, so why not Chelsea? It would be a dream for me to play for Chelsea.”
At just 22 years old, Etta Eyon epitomizes Chelsea’s recent signings. It wasn’t that long ago that the Blues brought in Nicholas Jackson from Villarreal, and while it didn’t work out, they could make up for that failure with another in-form La Liga star in 2026.
Etta Eyon is certainly a player to keep an eye on, having been hailed by scout Jacek Kulig for an “excellent” campaign.
