Leeds United are eyeing one of the managers who beat out the likes of Oliver Glasner, Thomas Tuchel and Ange Postecoglou to replace Daniel Farke.
Falke under pressure at Leeds after Nottingham Forest defeat
Los Blancos and Falke went into the international break after two Premier League defeats against Brighton and Nottingham Forest.
After conceding three goals at the Amex and at the City Ground, Leeds are now just one point clear of safety and will have a very tough game to play when club football resumes.

There has been a lot of speculation about Falke’s future following the losses in recent weeks, but journalist Graham Bailey claimed that the 49ers Enterprise intends to give Falke until January to turn things around.
Bailey said: “The pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke, but he knew this was going to happen and so did the club. This was going to be a long season. Everyone was aware. They didn’t spend tens of millions like Sunderland did.”
“They know there are limits to what Farke can do with the team he has at his disposal. But the quality of the performance and how they compete will be very important in the coming weeks.”
There are a number of managers who would consider moving to Elland Road to replace Falke if the 49ers make a change, including Strasbourg’s Liam Rosenior and Valencia’s Carlos Corberan, Marcelo Bielsa’s former assistant.
Leeds eyeing signing of Marco Rose
According to Football Insider, former RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose is on the radar of Leeds.
The outlet then quoted former scout Mick Brown as saying appointing someone like Rose would be a “gamble”.
“There’s no doubt that Marco Rose is on Leeds’ radar. Their relationship with Red Bull makes that a possibility for Leeds, so it’s certainly an option they might consider if they decide to make a change.”
“But personally, I would be surprised if he was the person they chose to help them. If they decide to sack Farke, it would be because they are at risk of relegation, so I don’t think it would be right for them to take a gamble on a manager like Rose.”
“He doesn’t know the Premier League and it’s a cliché to say, but that’s what Leeds want. There was talk over the summer about Falke and whether he could go because they wanted a player who had experience of success in the Premier League.”
“So if they decide to fire him now, I think they would consider it.”
The 49-year-old, who plays in a 4-4-2 system, is currently unemployed after leaving Leipzig in March.
Rose has wins over the likes of Glasner, Tuchel and Postecoglou on his resume and has made it clear what style of play he prefers for his team.
“When we lose the ball, we want to be aggressive towards the ball and do a lot of sprinting. We want to win the ball high up the pitch and shorten the distance to the goal. And when we have the ball ourselves, we want to play well. We want to move forward quickly and dynamically, rather than punting high balls up the pitch.”
