Chelsea are expected to remain busy in the transfer window in 2026, which could include selling one of their players to Barcelona. The La Liga giants could have an ideal scouting mission as the two teams meet in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Barcelona acquired Marcus Rashford on loan from Man Utd in the summer, and although he has made a strong start in Catalonia, there are doubts as to whether he will sign him on a permanent basis. Instead, they could bring in a winger who can play on both wings to compete with Lamine Yamal and Rafinha, and that player could be Pedro Neto.
Pedro Neto attracts interest from Barcelona
According to Fichajes, Barcelona are interested in signing Neto, with sporting director Deco said to be a big fan of the Portuguese player. Given that he is still only 25 years old, it is thought that he will stay at the Spotify Camp Nou in his prime, another tick on the club’s checklist.
Chelsea rate Neto himself highly, with the former Wolves man having been a regular starter under manager Enzo Maresca this season. He has four goals and two assists in the Premier League, making him one of the club’s most productive players.
With this in mind, it is reported that Chelsea will only consider whether or not to make an offer of 80 million euros for Neto. This is bad news for Barcelona, as it will be impossible for them to reach this amount given their continued financial difficulties.
Should Chelsea consider selling Pedro Neto?
Neto has been a great player for Chelsea since arriving from Wolves in 2024, but there is room to suggest he could be sold in the coming years. Estevao, Kendry Paes and Giovani Quenda are all set to attract even more attention this time around, and with the likes of Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho already at Stamford Bridge, the Portugal international could face a gradual exit.
