The lap times from the November 2025 WorldSBK test at Jerez were recorded as of 18:00 on the final day. Michael van der Mark initially led on the morning of the second day and was the only rider to break into the 1:38 range by 1pm. However, by the day’s end, Alex Laws surpassed him, posting the fastest time in the 1:37 range during the afternoon session, pushing Van der Mark to third place.

On the first day, Xavi Fores raced for Bimota, while the second day saw newcomers Lowes and Axel Bassani join the lineup. Lowes topped the charts, with Bassani placing ninth. Bassani is also now working with a new crew chief, Oriol Pallares, who previously worked with Jonathan Rea at Yamaha in 2025 and is replacing Marcel Duinkel.

Andrea Locatelli secured fourth place behind Van der Mark and his new teammate Xavi Vierge. Stefano Manzi was the third-quickest Yamaha rider in seventh position, followed by Remy Gardner at ninth. Notably, no Australian appeared on the timesheets, though the fifth-fastest LA3 entry was labeled as number 187.

BMW rookies performed well, with Miguel Oliveira finishing eighth and Danilo Petrucci fifth. Honda’s rookie pairing of Jake Dixon and Somkit Chantra were 12th and 10th, respectively. Detailed rankings from both the 18:00 and 13:00 sessions are available for reference.

Fan Take: This test offers a thrilling glimpse into the evolving dynamics of the WorldSBK grid, highlighting rising talents and new team strategies. For racing fans, it signals exciting competition ahead, potentially reshaping the championship landscape and showcasing the growing depth of skilled riders across multiple manufacturers.
