  • Tottenham rejoice over Kolo Muani’s return
  • Is Randall Kolo Muani a permanent transfer?

Tottenham are reportedly open to signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani on a permanent contract next summer.

The French striker didn’t have the best start to his Tottenham career, but he finally hit top gear against PSG in the Champions League. Speaking via TEAMtalk, Dean Jones said that following his sensational performances, Spurs are now open to the idea of signing him on a permanent contract.

Tottenham rejoice over Kolo Muani’s return

“Tottenham were very happy to sign Kolo Muani and now we are starting to see his true qualities,” Jones said, speaking about his future at the north London club.

“They always felt that once he returned to his usual sharpness, they would have one of the best goalscorers in the league. His finish in Paris this week was a sign of that.

“They think they can get more out of him and there is still a good chance this will be a long-term deal.

“He’s looking for a place to grow and be happy and Spurs need a player they can rely on to score goals. This loan period suited everyone, but I know Spurs have their sights set on making it a permanent deal if things go well.”

“If he stays healthy and in good form, Spurs won’t have to sign a striker in January and can focus on wide attackers as originally planned. Solanke and Kolo Muani are the main strikers, so they could be in good shape. We just need to see if they play often enough.”

“If Kolo Muani is successful it will really help Spurs not only this season but probably beyond.”

The north London club beat out the competition to sign Kolo Muani on loan from PSG during the summer. The 27-year-old striker failed to find the back of the net in any of his first nine games.

However, he was dropped from the masterclass after suffering a dramatic 5-3 defeat against his parent club PSG, where he finished with two goals and one assist.

Following his impressive performances, Tottenham are increasingly confident that he will become one of their outstanding attackers in the future. They believe that once the England international returns to fitness, he could rival Dominic Solanke for a place in the starting XI.

Spurs are not only confident that he will succeed at the club. They are now considering signing him permanently if he continues in a similar fashion. However, this loan move does not include a buyout clause, so new terms will need to be negotiated with PSG.
