Liverpool are interested in signing Brighton attacker Yankuba Minte.

The 21-year-old has performed very well since arriving in the Premier League and could be a good long-term investment for Liverpool.

Liverpool need a winger like Yankuba Minte

They need more quality in the side and Minte certainly fits that profile. He has worked with Arne Slott in the past, and the Liverpool manager has been vocal about his admiration for the player in the past, claiming his speed is a “huge asset”.

The reunion will be exciting for all involved. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool respond to their interest by making a formal offer to sign Brighton’s explosive winger. English clubs will not want to sell a promising player like Minte and Liverpool may have to pay a premium to persuade them. It’s no secret that they are looking to further improve the quality of their side. They also have a relationship with Antoine Semenyo.

They’ve missed his scheme and explosiveness since Luis Diaz’s departure. Fichajes said they are looking to fill that void with Minte in the coming months.

Minte is only 21 years old and has the potential to develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. The African will feel that a move to Liverpool could unlock his true potential. He will be working with a manager he knows well and Slott will be able to bring out the best in him.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make a formal offer. It will not be easy to convince Brighton to sell the player.

Additionally, the Seagulls don’t want to weaken their team midway through the season, so any move may have to wait until the summer.
