  • ‘Incredible’ Xavi could be Frank’s ideal successor
        • Jamie O’Hara loses game to Xavi Simmons after what Tottenham star did in Fulham defeat

Tottenham Hotspur are seriously considering hiring an “incredible” manager to replace Thomas Frank after Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Fulham.

Thomas Frank’s future uncertain after home defeat

Tottenham’s very worrying form at home continued on Saturday afternoon, with the Cottages handing Frank’s side their third defeat in their last four Premier League games, with a lack of creativity, particularly in the first half, no doubt a particular concern for the manager.

It is not the first time Spurs have struggled offensively this season, with their xG against Arsenal in the North London derby being just 0.07, the lowest of any Premier League side in 2025/26.

That puts pressure on Frank, who has won just one home game in the Premier League this season, with Jamie O’Hara expressing doubts about the Dane following his latest setback.

As a result, ENIC and others have begun considering possible replacements, and reports from Spain suggest that Tottenham are currently seriously considering a move for Barcelona legend Xavi and may change the board if his performance does not improve by the end of next month.

The 45-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Barcelona in May 2024, but is ready to return to management and there is plenty of interest from within the Premier League, with Manchester United also considering him as a replacement for Ruben Amorim.

The North Londoners are yet to make contact with the Spaniard, but they plan to do so in the near future if he doesn’t improve, and there are signs he could be a good replacement for Frank…

‘Incredible’ Xavi could be Frank’s ideal successor

O’Hara is concerned that Tottenham’s job is too big for the 52-year-old, so it would make sense to bring in a manager with management experience at the highest level, and the legendary former midfielder certainly fits the bill in that regard, having previously led Barcelona to the La Liga title in 2022-23.

The Terrassa-born manager, hailed as “incredible” by Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola, favors implementing an attacking 4-3-3 system and has won eight trophies during his managerial career, although Frank is yet to win a silver medal.

The summer signing was one of many underwhelming performances.

As such, Xavi could be an ideal replacement for Franck, who should be on very thin ice, given recent performances have been well below par offensively.
