Arsenal and Manchester City are among the clubs most interested in transfer talks for Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown.

As first reported in my exclusive article for Daily Briefing, the Germany international has attracted the attention of scouts across Europe after impressing in the Bundesliga.

The Gunners already have options at left-back, but Mikel Arteta may be keen to explore options to add further depth in that department.

“Brown’s performance attracted the attention of scouts across Europe,” one source told me. “He’s really liked by City, Arsenal and Barcelona.”

Another source added: “His defensive discipline, reading of the game and tactical versatility make him an excellent fit for English football. Financially, his current wage level is well within reach for Premier League clubs.”

It’s still early days, but it seems inevitable that Brown will make a big move soon.

The talented 22-year-old will likely cost around €50 million, but with his contract running until 2030, the club are under no pressure to sell him.

Brown has garnered a lot of headlines and it will be interesting to see how this translates into concrete negotiations and offers in the coming months.

A move in January is probably unlikely, but it’s sure to be one to keep an eye on next summer.

Should Nathaniel Brown choose Arsenal or Man City?

Both Arsenal and City are certainly attractive projects for Brown as he considers his future options.

Mikel Arteta and Josep Guardiola look set to go head-to-head once again for this season’s Premier League title, so Brown will certainly feel he will be joining a team that can win no matter who he joins.

Still, it could be another factor for him to consider if other clubs come on board, as playing regularly for two teams packed with world-class players could be difficult.
