  • How Liverpool’s season is shaping up after yet another setback at Leeds

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai was not happy after his team drew 3-3 with Leeds United. This suggests that some players thought the result was decided 2-0.

Hugo Ekitike’s brace in the first two minutes of the second half should have given Liverpool a comfortable lead at Elland Road.

However, Leeds made it 2-2 and Szoboszlai himself then scored a goal to put Liverpool back in the lead, but the hosts scored an equalizer in stoppage time to make it 3-3 again.

What did Dominik Szoboszlai say after Leeds 3-3 Liverpool?

Watch Sky’s post-match interview with Szoboszlai below. Szoboszlai was clearly not happy and suggested Liverpool players should relax when they held a two-goal lead…

“I don’t know what happened,” the Hungarian player said. “I think after 2-0 we thought the game was over.

“This is the kind of game where you can never underestimate the opposing team.

“Maybe after the penalty they had the momentum… We came back and there was another good reaction from the team. Then we conceded again from a set-piece, which wasn’t the best way.”

How Liverpool’s season is shaping up after yet another setback at Leeds

Liverpool remain eighth in the Premier League table, 10 points behind leaders Arsenal.

Arne Slott’s side have conceded an astonishing 24 goals in 15 league games, more than 15th-placed Fulham and just one less than relegation-battling Nottingham Forest.

On the positive side, the Reds are now unbeaten in three games, but on the negative side, they have drawn two games in a row and have won just one of their last six games.

LFC’s next game is an away game against Inter Milan in the Champions League, followed by Brighton at home and Tottenham away in the Premier League before Christmas.
