Week 8 of High Score is quite chaotic due to the flexible NBA Cup schedule, with teams possibly playing from one to three games depending on outcomes. While the number of games played isn’t everything for achieving high fantasy scores, maximizing your team’s points remains crucial.
Let’s get started.
High Score offers a fresh way to play fantasy basketball on Yahoo using straightforward rosters and scoring, and it’s never too late to join or start a league.
🎧 Here are key players in my rotation for High Score:
Jayden McDaniels – FC, Timberwolves (46% rostered)
McDaniels remains a top pick thanks to Minnesota’s three-game week and his recent streak of scoring 40+ fantasy points. As a standout wing defender, he’s likely to see increased minutes and involvement. Over the past six games, he’s averaged two points and the highest assist rate of his career, making him a strong asset in a week where extra opportunities matter.
Grayson Allen – G/FC, Suns (32% rostered)
Allen returned in Week 7 after missing seven games. Though he hasn’t fully returned to form, he previously averaged 34 fantasy points per game and ranks among the top 100 producers with low roster percentages. With Devin Booker sidelined and a potential three-game week for the Suns, Allen’s upside makes him a valuable pickup.
Jeremiah Fears – G, Pelicans (28% rostered)
The Pelicans have three games this week, and Fears has scored 32+ fantasy points in four of his last five games. Despite New Orleans struggling, Fears maintains a high-usage role, contributing points, threes, free throws, and steals. He’s a reliable and widely available option in this format when volume is spread across the league.
Anthony Black – G, Magic (29% rostered)
Black is continuing to improve across all formats. With key teammates injured, he stepped up with 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and a block in 30 minutes recently. His averages over the last 10 games are 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1.6 steals. He’s a must-have to keep in your lineup.
Ryan Nembhard – G, Mavericks (26% rostered)
Though Dallas plays only one game this week, Nembhard still deserves attention. With an unpredictable rotation but a 4-2 record when he starts, Nembhard’s ability to generate assists is vital for high fantasy scores. If you have bench space, stash him for potential production starting Week 8.
