Crystal Palace are set to add players to Oliver Glasner’s squad in January, with one of the new players potentially joining from Man City. There is a strong desire to add depth to the wing department and Oscar Bobb could be the ideal player to come to Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace will be playing in the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Conference League after Christmas, so they will be looking to add even more depth to their squad for the second half of the season. Glasner’s team has placed particular emphasis on the wing areas, with Ismaila Sarr, Yeremy Pino and Romain Esse seen as the only natural options, although Eddie Nketiah has also been deployed there in recent weeks.
Nevertheless, other options are desired and Bob could be the player Crystal Palace push to sign when the transfer window opens.
Crystal Palace interested in Oscar Bobb transfer in January
According to MailSport (via CityXtra), Crystal Palace are interested in signing Bob, while Man City are open to hearing offers for the Norway international, who they had considered selling during the summer.
Bob has struggled to make his mark in recent weeks, with Rayan Cherki being promoted to the starting XI. Manager Josep Guardiola has therefore given the winger the green light to leave the club, with plans to leave either on loan or for cash.
Should Crystal Palace sign Oscar Bobb?
Don’t forget that Bob, who has been active for many years, is only 22 years old. He has shown flashes of brilliance during his time at Man City and could start to fulfill his undoubted potential if given the opportunity to play regularly. Selhurst Park could be the ideal place for that to happen.
