Juventus have identified Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali as a potential dream signing, with the Serie A giants closely monitoring his situation ahead of the upcoming transfer window, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Newcastle United have no intention of actively putting Tonali on the market, with a move likely only possible if the 25-year-old submits a formal transfer request.

Still, the Magpies will demand a suitable offer that reflects both his quality and his importance to their long-term project.

Tonali has enjoyed great success at Newcastle since arriving in a big-money move from AC Milan.

Juventus dream of signing Sandro Tonali

Despite the interruption to his first season in England, Newcastle remain committed to the Italian international and are highly regarded for his leadership and quality.

His age profile also makes him an important asset as the club continues to develop as they aim to continue their Champions League qualification.

But Juventus are undeterred. The Turin giants are thought to be looking for creative ways to make the deal happen.

One potential structure being discussed is an initial loan with a buyout obligation, which would be triggered if Juventus qualify for the Champions League.

This will allow us to continue our long-term commitment to Tonali while managing financial constraints should our sporting goals be achieved.

There is also speculation that Juventus could consider including Jonathan David as part of a wider package if Newcastle are open to such a proposal.

There is no indication yet that Newcastle prefer cash deals for players, especially deals that weaken their midfield core.

From Tonali’s point of view, Juventus’ interest clearly has emotional weight.

A return to Italy to play for one of Italy’s most prestigious clubs would be attractive, especially for Juventus, who are looking to re-establish a strong Italian identity within their squad.

Despite this, sources close to the player say he remains focused on succeeding at Newcastle and living up to the faith the club and supporters have shown in him.
