‘Shocking’ – Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli says he should be ‘ashamed’ of ‘horrible’ incident

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has been heavily criticized for pushing seriously injured Liverpool’s Conor Bradley off the pitch.

The Reds right-back ultimately had to be carried off on a stretcher at the Emirates Stadium, but Martinelli initially appeared to push him away in the final stages of the game, thinking it was a waste of time.

Martinelli is currently being criticized by X journalists for his “shocking” actions towards Bradley, whose injuries appeared to be quite serious.

It remains to be seen how long Bradley will be able to recover from this injury, but it’s never a good sign when a player has to be carried away on a stretcher.

Martinelli was a great player that day, but he didn’t show his best side here. That probably shows that Arsenal were a bit upset by Liverpool tonight.

Mikel Arteta’s side had a chance to build an eight-point lead over leaders Manchester City, but they ended up in a disappointing 0-0 draw.

This means Arsenal are still six points clear of Man City, but one would imagine they would feel like they missed this opportunity after Josep Guardiola’s side were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw at home to Brighton yesterday.

Liverpool have not been at their best this season but will feel they have earned their point with a strong defense that silenced the home crowd in north London tonight.

After this incident with Martinelli, there was a near burst of anger at the end, but it was one of the highlights of what ended up being a pretty memorable match.
