Liverpool are urgently looking for a replacement for Conor Bradley, who will be out for several months with a knee injury.

Liverpool’s January transfer plans have been thrown into disarray after it was confirmed that Conor Bradley has suffered a season-ending knee injury.

The 22-year-old suffered a serious knee injury during Thursday’s 0-0 stalemate with Arsenal.

Liverpool looking for replacement for Conor Bradley

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed that the club was currently conducting an “urgent” investigation, but moved quickly to debunk one major rumor.

Despite reports circulating in Germany linking Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson to Anfield.

Plettenberg told X: “Please understand that Liverpool are urgently looking for a replacement for Conor Bradley, who will be out for several months with a knee injury. There are various options on the table in the current transfer window. Julian Ryerson is currently said not to be a candidate for Liverpool.”

This injury puts Arne Slott at a critical juncture. Losing Bradley will be a huge blow to Liverpool as they currently fight to close the gap at the top of the league.

Frimpong is currently the only senior specialist left at Liverpool.

While Joe Gomez can cover, the lack of offensive power confuses the slot system.

Plettenberg’s latest information suggests the club is working around the clock to find a solution that balances immediate impact with long-term value, rather than a stop-gap buy like Ryerson.

Liverpool’s three right-backs could aim to sign in January

Liverpool’s recruitment team are likely to focus on a profile that matches the slot’s high-intensity requirements.

Zivairo Reid (Feyenoord)

The most logical link. The 19-year-old blossomed under Slott’s guidance at Feyenoord and continued to impress in the Eredivisie.

He has a similar profile to Bradley, tenacity in the tackle and boundless energy to overlap.

His existing understanding of the slot’s tactical demands will allow him to slot right in.

Vanderson (AS Monaco)

If Liverpool want a more physically imposing presence, the Brazilian would be an outstanding candidate.

Long admired by Premier League scouts, Vanderson combines a six-foot frame with blistering speed. He would be a more expensive option, but would provide the defensive solidity that Slot seems to desperately need in that role.

Martim Fernandes (Porto):

The 19-year-old Porto right-back was previously linked with a move to Liverpool.

The Reds are one of the Premier League’s top clubs who have actively scouted him in the past.

He could provide decent cover and compete with the likes of Bradley and Frimpong for the right-back position.
