Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to pay up to €100m for a potentially ambitious move for Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes.
The Portugal international has been a star for Manchester United for many years and has proven to be the club’s most successful signing in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.
Earlier today, a report from BBC Sport suggested Fernandes would consider his future at the end of this season, with the 31-year-old’s preference being to remain in Europe.
Fernandes is also currently linked with Bayern Munich, with Ficajes claiming the Bundesliga giants could make a big-money move for the former Sporting Lisbon player.
Bruno Fernandes has earned the chance to become a star player at a big club like Bayern Munich
Fernandes definitely deserves the chance to play for an elite club like Bayern after years of trying his best at United but ultimately underachieving.
Given how well Fernandes was able to perform at Old Trafford despite playing alongside flops like Anthony and Rasmus Hjøjlund, it will be interesting to see what he can do alongside other stars like Harry Kane and Michael Oliseh.
Players like Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay have improved since leaving United for other big clubs, and Fernandes should be able to achieve similar results at the Allianz Arena.
Manchester United to rebuild midfield
United, on the other hand, would certainly be well-placed to sign Fernandes for such a fee while they still can.
Fernandes is not getting any younger, so it may soon be time for the club to rebuild their midfield with young talent from elsewhere.
Even if it is of course difficult to replace one of the great players of the modern era, MUFC could be helped a lot by offering €100 million from Fernandes and could usher in a new era for the team.
