Tottenham Hotspur have signed Conor Gallagher, bringing in an experienced and hard-working midfielder to strengthen Thomas Frank’s engine room.

Spurs are pushing to sign Andy Robertson, one of the Premier League’s most decorated players of modern times, with the Scottish player having won in every area during his long spell at Liverpool.

There were two shrewd signs that strongly influenced Frank’s influence. However, Tottenham have been trying to fudge offensively this season and will need a little more creativity, especially with so many key attacking players out injured.

How are the Spurs going to improve their offense?

ENIC Group are keen to invest this month, but signings are notoriously difficult to secure in the January transfer window. Clubs often don’t like to see their best players leave midway through the season.

But the Spurs are persistent and will bring in players who can make a difference after the season. Now, Frank needs to make sure he has a playmaker in the side to prevent Spurs from continuing their lackluster offensive performance.

Xavi Simons has shown promising signs in recent matches, but the 22-year-old Dutchman is still inexperienced and inconsistent. James Madison in particular continues to be sidelined, and if Dejan Kulusevski returns from the setback that kept him out this season, he could be used prominently on the right wing, so there could be some competition.

According to Sportboom, Tottenham are among a growing list of Premier League clubs interested in signing Kang Woo-sung, who has emerged as Eintracht Frankfurt’s latest superstar forward.

At just 20 years old, Uzun is an inexperienced attacking midfielder but has been a mainstay in the Bundesliga this year, with a price tag of €80 million (equivalent to £69 million), more than the club’s record fee for Dominic Solanke.

This could give Spurs an advantage in this race, as Aston Villa and Newcastle United are unlikely to spend as much money.

Tottenham are interested in completing a deal this month, but if they break through, that interest will move into the summer transfer window.

What can Uzun bring to Spurs?

A versatile forward, Uzun is skilled in attack, with a natural eye for goal and flashes of creativity that could make him an instant favorite in the Premier League.

The up-and-coming player shows little signs of slowing down and has already developed the balance and grace to make a serious splash in the Premier League.

This season, the youngster has scored eight goals and provided four assists for Die Roten. Die Roten is a force to be reckoned with in attacking midfield and has been praised by analyst Ben Mattinson for his “lethal” quality in front of goal.

Uzun may not have the combative defensive approach that Simmons has garnered attention for since arriving in north London, but he has a natural ability to make things happen in the final third.

Tottenham need a bit of that. Frank’s team lacks game-changers, difference-makers, players who can make an impact in the final third and step up when the team needs something special.

With that in mind, it’s worth noting that Uzun hasn’t missed any big chances in Germany’s top flight. This emphasizes how destructive he is when retrieving in the dangerous zone of space.

Talent scout Jacek Kriug said Uzun had an “incredible future”, and given his powerful attacking style, which makes him “deadly” in front of goal while contributing a lot to the team’s supply line, it’s easy to see why Frank would be keen to snap him up and jockey with Simmons in his quest for a place in Tottenham’s first team.

In Mattinson’s view, he is, after all, a “special prospect.”
