2027 NHL Stadium Series: Vegas Golden Knights Take on the Dallas Stars at Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium

The NHL has revealed its schedule for the 2027 outdoor game series, with the Vegas Golden Knights set to face the Dallas Stars at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on February 20, 2027. The Stars, who were announced as hosts in November, only found out their opponent this past Thursday; the matchup is historically significant, as Dallas defeated Vegas in the 2020 Western Conference Finals, only to be defeated by them in the 2023 Western Conference Finals. This marks the second time Dallas is hosting an outdoor game, having previously beaten the Nashville Predators at Cotton Bowl Stadium in 2020, while Vegas has limited outdoor experience, with past games in Lake Tahoe and at T-Mobile Park against Seattle. Meanwhile, the 2026 NHL Stadium Series features the Boston Bruins versus Tampa Bay Lightning at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fan Take: These outdoor games continue to be a highlight, showcasing hockey in unique and larger-than-life venues, drawing massive crowds and increasing the sport’s visibility. For fans, these matchups not only deepen rivalries but also breathe fresh excitement into the game, promising even more memorable moments on the ice.
