DENVER (AP) — Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon will be out of action for at least a month after reinjuring his right hamstring during last week’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The team shared on Thursday that Gordon will undergo a reassessment in four to six weeks before the upcoming game in Brooklyn. This season, Gordon has been averaging 17.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Gordon previously missed 19 games earlier this season due to a hamstring strain. The Nuggets are also dealing with injuries to center Nikola Jokic (left knee), forward Cameron Johnson (right knee), and forward Christian Braun (left ankle).

Aaron Gordon, 30, joined Denver in March 2021 following a trade with Orlando and played a key role in the Nuggets’ 2023 NBA championship victory.

Fan Take: Aaron Gordon’s injury comes at a tough time for the Nuggets, potentially disrupting their chemistry and chances this season. For basketball fans, it highlights the physical demands of the sport and how injuries can shift the momentum and outcomes in ways that keep every game unpredictable.
