Max Dauman has signed a scholarship deal with Arsenal in a big boost for the Gunners, who are one of Europe’s biggest prospects.

The 16-year-old attacking midfielder is currently regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe and has put pen to paper to sign with the Gunners.

According to BBC Sport, Dauman is expected to sign his first professional contract when he turns 17 later this year.

Arsenal fans will be delighted with this news. Dauman has already made five first-team appearances for the club, making him the second-youngest player in North London Giants’ history.

Arsenal’s academy has produced some great talent in recent years, with Bukayo Saka rising to the first team and becoming one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players.

The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe previously played regularly for the AFC before moving on to other Premier League clubs, while Ethan Nwaneri and Miles Lewis-Skelly are also currently progressing well.

Dauman looks to be arguably the most exciting prospect of them all, so securing his contract is vital for the club.

BBC Sport suggests the teenager was hugely popular, which will come as no surprise to anyone who has seen him play.

A skilful and exciting winger, Dauman already exudes quality and confidence and, if he overcomes his recent injuries, he will undoubtedly compete for a regular place in Arteta’s first team.
