  • Liverpool want to sign Denzel Dumfries
  • Dumfries may make a move.

Liverpool defender Jeremy Frimpong was injured in midweek’s UEFA Champions League match against Qarabag.

The Dutch international is expected to be out for an extended period of time, and the team is currently considering potential replacements.

Liverpool want to sign Denzel Dumfries

The Premier League champions are currently making inquiries regarding the signing of Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Dutch international has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool make an offer for him. The player is currently sidelined due to injury and it would be quite surprising if Liverpool made a move to sign him while he is not fully fit.

The 29-year-old is a quality player who has proven himself in Italian football. He did very well for his country internationally. There is no doubt that he will be a useful acquisition for Liverpool. He has the quality and experience to play for them and could help Liverpool at both ends of the pitch.

At this stage of his career, the opportunity to move to the Premier League could be an exciting one for him.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan are unlikely to allow him to leave without signing a quality replacement. They are monitoring Norton Cuffy as a potential replacement.

Despite his links with the Dutch national team, a move in January seems highly unlikely, mainly due to the player’s injury situation. Liverpool need players who can come in and make an immediate impact. With Conor Bradley and Frimpong sidelined through injury, it doesn’t make sense to sign another full-back who is recovering from injury.
