Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund was able to show his door at the end of the season.

According to Mick Brown, Manchester United hopes to sell the 22-year-old striker in the summer, while Reuben Amorim wants a replacement. It is still unclear whether a suitable destination will be found for Denmark International.

“As Rasmus Hojlund goes on, it’s perfect for all parties,” he told Football Insider.

“Man United wants to sell him. Amorim wants to sign an alternative, which will be a good move for him too.

“He has now proven that he is not trying his job.

“They paid about £70 million so if they can get back that substantial proportion, he’ll leave.”

Manchester United paid the striker about £70 million and they would have expected much better from him. He failed to live up to expectations, and the player scored 26 goals in 94 appearances for the Red Devils.

Manchester United need reliable strikers who can consistently score goals, and they’ve linked them with players like Viktor Gyoker in recent months. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to remove deadwood and bring in quality players this summer.

Man United need quality additions

It’s a disappointing season for them and they’ll look like they’ll bounce back hard. Manchester United are 16th in the league table and lost the UEFA Europa League final to Tottenham last night. They will not compete in Europe next season. For their height club, it will be a devastating blow.

Signing the right players this summer may help them get back on track. Quality strikers should be a priority for them.

Meanwhile, Hojlund can also use a new start, leaving Manchester United is perfect for all parties.

He tries to get his career back on track with regular football at another club. The 22-year-old is a talented player with a bright future, but his move to Manchester United didn’t go well for him. He was named “Exceptional Talent” by Harry Maguire.
