BMW to Field a Two-Rider Team for the 2026 Isle of Man TT

The Roadhouse Macau team has revealed that Brian McCormack will join forces with David Datzer for the 2026 Isle of Man TT. Although BMW’s road racing squad had planned to field both riders in 2025, Datzer was sidelined from the event that year due to injury.

The German racer made his comeback at the IRRC event in Vroburg late last year and is set to compete again at the 2026 Isle of Man TT. He will be riding both a BMW 1,000cc machine and a Supersport class bike for Roadhouse Macau, along with a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS tuned by PHR Performance.

Datzer expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “I’m eager to have a successful run with Roadhouse Macau. My goal is to improve my best lap time on the BMW M1000RR, a motorcycle I’m very familiar with. After my 2025 injury, my main focus is on regaining full fitness, getting back on the mountain courses, and hopefully joining the 130 mph club.”

Brian McCormack shared his excitement about competing alongside Datzer in 2026, something he had hoped for but couldn’t achieve last year due to Datzer’s absence. “I’m really looking forward to having our desired team lineup in 2025 and 2026. David missed out last year because of his injury but has since recovered fully, and we’re committed to helping him reach his objectives at the TT,” said McCormack. He also mentioned that, while it has been a hectic winter arranging everything as a team owner, he feels positive thanks to strong support from sponsors, partners, and a great team.

Fan Take:
This announcement is a thrilling boost for road racing enthusiasts, signaling a strong and competitive Roadhouse Macau team returning to the Isle of Man TT. With Datzer’s comeback alongside McCormack, fans can expect some memorable battles and potentially record-setting performances that could push the limits of the sport even further.
