Enzo Maresca is in pole position to become the north London club’s new manager, reports Calciomercato. The 46-year-old Italian was sacked by Chelsea and is currently unemployed.

He has previously proven himself with Chelsea and is undoubtedly a potential signing for Spurs. Maresca has helped Chelsea win two trophies in the past nine months.

Chelsea won the UEFA Europa Conference League in May, followed by the FIFA Club World Cup in July.

It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham choose him as their next manager. They have had a disastrous season so far and will be desperate to bounce back strong. The Italian wants to prove his quality once again after being sacked by Chelsea. Tottenham could be the perfect venue for him. They have resources and a quality team. He was able to build great projects with them.

Tottenham are currently 16th in the league table. They will try desperately to bounce back strong. They need to ensure that management appointments are made. With a quality coach, they might be able to bounce back and finish the season on a high note.

Maresca has been highly rated in-game and is sure to be a high-quality acquisition for Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if the two sides can reach an agreement early.

Spurs have been linked with a number of new managers in recent days, including former fan favorite Mauricio Pochettino. It will be interesting to see who they end up with.
