Fichajes says Manchester United are also interested in Mane, but Liverpool want to ensure they are ahead of the competition for the talented 18-year-old.

The Reds are big fans of Mane and believe they need to sign him now or his value will continue to soar.

There is no doubt that the England youth international will secure a big move sooner rather than later, especially as Wolves will be under additional pressure to let go of their best players, with relegation from the Premier League looking certain this season.

According to Fichajes, Mane is wanted by both LFC and MUFC, apparently along with Arne Slott. Currently showing the most interest.

According to the paper, Man United also would not rule out a big move for Mane, but Liverpool are already working on a deal and believe his £50m price tag is reasonable.

It will be interesting to see how this develops, but it certainly sounds positive for the Merseyside giants as they look to invest in potentially world-class talent.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Mane and Liverpool, with a recent report from DaveOCKop claiming that Mane and Liverpool representatives recently visited the AXA training center for talks.

Still, United could be an attractive project for Mane at the moment and could realistically give him the chance to play regular first-team football.

Wolves rate Matheus Mane highly

Mane made his debut for Wolves last season when he was just 17 years old, and former manager Vitor Pereira has previously spoken highly of Mane.

“Mane, I’m sure he’ll be a surprise in England in this league because he’s a talented player,” Pereira said, as quoted by Birmingham World.

“For sure, he will join our first team next season. He is not only talented, but also a worker. And for me, at that moment in the game, I didn’t just give him minutes, because I thought he could do something. He is special.”
