The Danish tactician has just lost his job at Spurs and has undoubtedly struggled during his time in north London, despite his impressive spell as manager at Brentford.

Palace know they will lose Glasner at the end of this season, with the Eagles’ current manager recently publicly confirming that he will not sign a new contract ahead of his contract expiring this summer.

According to Sports Boom, Palace are currently planning to approach Frank and it will be interesting to see how things develop in the coming weeks and months.

Clearly the Tottenham job wasn’t a good fit for Frank, but one would imagine he might fare better at Selhurst Park.

The expectations at Brentford and Spurs are very different, but Frank may be better suited to the environment he would find himself in if he took the Palace job.

Granted, it won’t be easy to follow in the footsteps of Glasner, who has done such a great job here, but it’s easy to see why the club sees Frank as a strong candidate to rebuild the team.

Frank used limited resources at Brentford and made the most of players who were neither big names nor big money signings.

Given that Palace lost Ebelesi Eze and Marc Guehi in the last two transfer windows and there could be interest in other key players such as Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta, Frank could be just the man to steady the ship and help the club cope without these big names.
