Manchester United are interested in signing Wolves attacker Matheus Mane.

The 18-year-old has impressed the Premier League with his maturity and versatility. Mane has attracted the attention of Manchester United as he has the ability to move across the front three. They could sign a versatile attacker like him, with a transfer fee likely to be around £50m.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also interested in the player. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Both clubs could use more quality players in their attacking ranks, and the 18-year-old would be a sure-fire signing for the future.

“Mateus Mane has been linked with a move to United and I’ve heard some very interesting reports in this regard, as those close to the club agree that he is an interesting option and makes sense for his profile,” Jones told TEAMtalk.

“He obviously has a sense of versatility in attack and midfield, but he also has the potential to develop into a star.

“Given what they want to do in the summer, he would be a very good player to sign because he is a progressive talent that they want to invest in.

“We all know they are looking to sign established star players within the Premier League, but they also want to start signing similar players.

“The fact that he can provide cover in a variety of positions on the wing means the story linking him to United in the summer is worth keeping an eye on.”

The opportunity to play for Manchester United or Liverpool would also be attractive for the young attacker. It could be the ideal next step in his career. With Wolves likely to slump in the summer, he will want to stay in the top flight. Two clubs could offer him that platform.

Both clubs have the financial wherewithal to pay his asking price and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops. They haven’t done anything to justify a £50m price tag at the moment, but they could do so in the future.
