Celebrations extended beyond the pitch on a night of great performance from Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal completely overwhelm Spurs

Arsenal showed a clinical performance that overwhelmed Tottenham.

Two goals from Eberechi Eze and Victor Gokeres secured all three points for the Gunners, but Spurs’ Randal Kolo Muani’s first-half goal was ultimately just a footnote in a one-sided contest.

The result allowed Arsenal to reaffirm their five-point advantage over Manchester City at the summit, despite having played one more game.

They also responded in a timely manner to the draw with Wolves in midweek, regaining momentum at a crucial stage in the title race.

The most eye-catching moment came after the match, when Gabriel shared an image of the celebration from Arsenal’s team bus on his Instagram account.

The Brazilian defender was pictured holding a four of hearts playing card representing the scoreline, alongside his Player of the Match award.

The post, which features a relaxed smile and a frame of Rio’s drink and a packet of M&Ms, quickly went viral among fans.

This gesture was widely interpreted as a playful joke. Victory will give Arsenal a much-needed boost of confidence as Mikel Arteta’s side prepare to face Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in their next game.
