The 2025 NBA playoffs exist as a major will that the future is bright for basketball.

Beyond the fact that we continue to witness levels of league parity we’ve never seen before, this postseason has become a huge spotlight for a new wave of NBA stars.

After years of witnessing LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant dominate the game, several ascending young superstars are now taking over and prove themselves to the biggest stage of basketball.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton are the final four positions of the NBA’s highest, each of whom are targeting their first NBA championship.

Winning an NBA title is the ultimate highlight of a player’s professional career. But for the four young stars remaining on the field, it has the perfect opportunity for them to seize greatness and instantly cement their legacy in the record book.

In the latest episode of Ticket & The Truth, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett discussed whether Gilgeous-Alexander, Brunson, Edwards, and Haliburton would make the most of winning the 2025 championship.

For Boston Celtics’ great Paul Pierce, he is sure to bring the fairy tale to an end for Halliburton by becoming the champion of this season.

This is due to his playing in one of the NBA’s small markets with the Indiana Pacers, being labelled “the most overrated” in the league, and his tough team USA experience at last year’s Parisiolmpics.

“Of all four of those, Halliburton probably earned the greatest benefit if he won,” Pierce claimed.

“When you look at Ant-Man, they’re already ready to put him there. When you look at Shy, he becomes the MVP. Branson is the king of New York.

“He’s the most overrated, but that’s ridiculous. So if he wins it, he has the most gains. Do you know what I’m saying? He’s coming from behind.

“Small market. He wasn’t the most pioneer on the American team. He wasn’t a few minutes. Now he’s on the verge of making his way to the finals. He has what he gets the most.

“He doesn’t have signing shoes, he’s not a common name. His jersey, it’s not like the people who wear his jersey. It’s a small market. You’re playing big boy balls. You know his name after this series.

Meanwhile, Garnett has the Minnesota Timberwolves root paneling as Edwards claims he would benefit more if he tightened the Larry O’Brien trophy.

He is hesitant to accept that, but Edwards is already leaning as the next face in the NBA. For Garnett, the chances of winning the 2025 title are the best moments of the Minnesota Sensation.

“I think Ant-Man is about to come out in Minnesota and win the championship for that city. I think it’s not just connecting the cities, it’s going to rejuvenate them,” Garnett said.

“It puts him on that list along with these young stars, do you know what I’m saying? When we talk about the league, we talk about Luka, we talk about Joker, we talk about Shy.

“I think if somehow, in some way, you get this in some way and get your first championship in Minnesota, then he’ll take you to another level. I think he’ll start talking to him because he has not only charisma, but also the elements you need to make on your face.”

Regardless of who brings it home for each franchise and City, we can enjoy and enjoy the acquisition of young players.

Gilgeous-Alexander, Brunson, Edwards and Haliburton all helped make this year’s NBA playoffs unforgettable.
